5 Teenage Girls Evade Police on Stolen Car

WKYC reports that five teenage girls had stolen a vehicle and were arrested by police following an Evade Police chase.

Officers report that they spotted the stolen vehicle shortly before 8 p.m. on Saturday. Following attempts to pull over the vehicle, the teens sped off in an attempt to Evade Police through the Ohio City neighborhood.

An 18-year-old was behind the wheel while another girl, 18, sat with three minors, aged 15 to 17.

Police report that the girls got out of the stolen vehicle and tried to continue to Evade Police on foot, running away near West 48th Street and Bridge Avenue.

All five girls were arrested for multiple offences.

A penalty unit in Queensland is currently worth $113.85.
In addition to the above penalties, anyone who pleads or is found guilty in the Magistrates Court must pay the Offender Levy, which is presently worth $110.90.
