Drug Driving Mum Fined and Charged

The Queensland Times reports that Tina Lois Fletcher, a 42-year-old single mum of four, pleaded guilty to Drug Driving after officers pulled her over for a roadside drug test.

Drug test results showed that Fletcher had both methamphetamine and THC in her system at the time of the incident.

Police reported that the Drug Driving mum admitted to injecting speed earlier that week and had just smoked weed.

Fletcher’s lawyer said that she had sole custody of her four children and had limited criminal history.

However, Magistrate Stuart Shearer took the Drug Driving mum’s history into account as it contained offences for both disqualified driving and DUI Drink Driving.

The Drug Driving mum was convicted and given a lengthy licence disqualification.
