Suspected DUI Drink Driving Woman, Diagnosed with Brain Tumor

Julie Cunningham, a mum of four, was arrested by officers on the suspicion of DUI Drink Driving after she hit a curb and crashed into a fire hydrant, USA Today reports.

Her mother, Lynda Halvorson, said that Cunningham is not a drinker nor does she take any sort of medications. She believes that the incident was not something that her daughter would do.

Frisco police confirmed that Cunningham blew a 0.0. Halvorson said that they knew instantly that something was wrong and she couldn’t have been DUI Drink Driving.

Cunningham’s speech was slurred and she could barely move. The day after she was released from jail, the family took her to the hospital where she was found to have a lemon-sized tumor in her brain.

Doctors said that it was non-cancerous but had abnormal cells.

Halvorson said that Cunningham doesn’t remember anything about the incident.

Cunningham enlisted in the Navy after the horrific Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and served six years in Naval Intelligence.

A DUI Drink Driving case has not been filed, however Police still await toxicology results which is said to be part of normal protocol.
