As reported by WSAZ, Dangerous Driving American woman Lara Lawson appeared before her local Magistrates Court in a bathing suit yesterday, after having attempted to Evade Police during a high speed pursuit.

The chase began when Police tried to pull Ms Lawson over for running a red light.

Ms Lawson drove at speeds of over 140 kilometres per hour, allegedly waving to Police and fellow motorists throughout.

The pursuit ended when Police blew out Ms Lawson’s tyres with spike strips.

Ms Lawson was taken into custody before being presented at Court, still in her swimsuit, shortly thereafter.

The matter was adjourned and Ms Lawson awaits sentence.

Dangerous Driving in Queensland carries a maximum penalty of a lifetime loss of licence, 3 years imprisonment and 200 penalty units.
