As reported by USA Today, an American man unsuccessfully attempted to circumvent transit lane laws recently, by pretending to carpool with a life sized cardboard cut out of the ‘Most Interesting Man In The World’, as featured in the Dos Equis beer commercials.

Despite dressing the cut out in a jumper and securing it's seatbelt, Traffic Police were not fooled.

When the Police Officer queried the driver, they responded with ‘he is my best friend’.

After issuing the man with an infringement notice, the officer Tweeted ‘I don’t always violate transit lane law, but when I do, I get a $124 ticket’.
